A stunning and extremely decorative French and English collaboration 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu and Wedgwood porcelain chandelier. The eight arm chandelier is centered by a most elegant foliate topie shaped bottom finial below the exceptional dome shaped blue and white Wedgwood porcelain body with reeded and finely detailed foliate designs. A beautiful pierced Vitruvian scrolled designed ormolu band extends around the body from where the four pairs of elegantly scrolled arms extend. The arms branch out from richly chased rams heads and are adorned with lovely acanthus leaves and display fine beaded bobeches and candle cups. The beautifully curved Wedgwood body displays intricately detailed and most charming foliate designs leading up to the striking baluster shaped ormolu central support with large acanthus leaf designs. Above are additional rams heads connected by lovely beaded garlands centering a reeded urn with the elegant palmette designed canopy above.
